HSBC Bank Malta plc – Change in Senior Management

HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. (the "bank") announces that Mr Mark Watkinson will be relinquishing his post as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 2 November 2015 and will be taking up a new role as Chief Executive Officer at HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited, subject to regulatory approval in Bermuda.

Mr Watkinson will be replaced in the post of Chief Executive Officer of the bank by Mr Andrew Beane, who currently resides at Wicksmoor Farmhouse, Nr Lyndhurst, Hampshire SO43 7JL, United Kingdom. Mr Beane will take up his new position with effect from 2 November 2015, subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Beane is currently Chief of Staff to the CEO of HSBC Europe, Middle East & Africa, in which capacity he serves as a member of the Executive and Risk Committees of HSBC Bank plc, the parent company of HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. He is also a Non-executive Director of HSBC Bank Armenia. Mr Beane has been with the HSBC Group since 2002 and his previous roles include assignments in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and the United States, principally in the areas of Commercial Banking and Strategy & Planning.
