International Hotel Investments plc – Appointment of Non-Executive Director

International Hotel Investments plc announced that  Mr Hamad Buamim, a Director of Dubai World, has been appointed as non-executive Director of International Hotel Investments p.l.c. with effect from 31st December 2013.

Mr Buamim is President and CEO of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and serves as the Deputy Chairman of the World Chambers Federation – ICC – in Paris. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Central Bank, Chairman of National General Insurance and Board Member of Union Properties.

He has previously served as Chairman of Emirates Financial Services, Chairman of Emirates NBD Capital and Board Member of Emirates NBD Bank and Network International.

 

Mr Buamim holds a degree in electrical engineering magna cum laude from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and an MBA with honours in finance from the University of Missouri , Kansas City.

 

Mr Buamim is a citizen of the United Arab Emirates (passport number A2555282) and resides at 617, Nad al Shiba Fourth, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
