Malta International Airport plc – Traffic Results – January 2014
Malta International Airport plc announced that it saw a passenger increase of 11.2 per cent in January, over the same period last year, thanks to added capacity and a consistently positive seat load factor, which went up by 0.3 percentage points.
Traffic from the UK grew by 6.2 per cent, thanks to the growth registered on the Liverpool, Edinburgh and Bristol routes. Traffic from Italy – the second biggest market – grew by 10.8 per cent, mainly due to increased capacity in the Northern routes. A significant increase in capacity and seat load factor also contributed to substantial growth on the Libyan route.
